CHOCOLATE CUP CAKES

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY,

DOHA,QATAR

 Chocalate Cup Cakes:
Ingredients:

Self raising flour or maida  _ 1 cup
Caster sugar _ 3/4th cup
Butter _ 100 gms
Eggs _ 2
Cocoa powder _ 4 tbsp(can be increased or decreased acc. to your chocolaty tongue)
Vanilla essence _ 1tsp
Soda bicarbonate _ 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder _ 1tsp(use baking powder only if you use maida,If you use self raising flour skip this)
Milk _ 1/2  cup or 125ml

Chocolate Buttercream frosting:

Unsalted butter_100 gms(brought to room temp.)
Icing sugar _1 cup
Cocoa powder _ 1tbsp
Milk _1tbsp

Method:

1.Preheat Oven to 180 degree conventional or 160 degree celsius,fan forced.

2.Using a hand blender or mixer,blend butter,sugar and vanilla essence until the mixture becomes creamy and fluffy.Add eggs and whip with the mixer for 5 to 10 minutes,so that everything combine together well.

3.Along with this mixture,now add all the dry ingredients...seived,cocoa,flour and soda bicarbonate.
Now add milk to this mixture.Fold well using hand mixer.

4.Keep the cup cake liners inside the cupcake mould and pour the creamed mixture 3/4 of each liner.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degree conventional.(or acc to your kitchen oven's baking method)

For topping,icing chocolate butter cream:

Beat butter until soft and fluffy.Add icing sugar and cocoa,mix well.Pour milk and beat well until fluffy.

Decoration:

Pour the chocolate cream mixture in the decorater pipe and decorate as you wish.

 In this picture,I have just decorated with chcocolate butter cream.

In this picture,In the centre cake...I have placed a scoop of strawberry icecream...

In this picture, I have placed little strawberry jam over the ice cream...
In this picture, I have poured some chocolate syrup over the cupcakes...
Chocolate syrup:
1 part of water and 1 part of sugar with 1 tsp of cocoa powder boiled to have syrup consistency.

You can decorate the cake with your own ideas with fruits nuts etc.,
